DOVER-FOXCROFT - Three new mid-level healthcare providers -- a family nurse practitioner and two physician assistants -- have been recruited to work in Dexter and Corinna by Mayo Regional Hospital. All three begin work in early August. Wendy Dicranian, FNP will join the staff at Dexter Family Practice starting Aug. 1. A Norridgewock resident, Dicranian has been a staff nurse on the Medical/Surgical floor at Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan since 1997. She graduated in May with an M.S.N. degree from the family nurse practitioner program at the University of Maine. Dicranian received her B.S.N. from St. Joseph's College in Windham and has been licensed as a Registered Nurse since 1997. She has also served as a clinical instructor at Kennebec Valley Community College. At Dexter Family, Dicranian will work with Challa Reddy, M.D., Usha Reddy, M.D. and Lisa Starkweather, FNP. Eliza Currie, PA who recently received her Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies from the University of New England, will join Dexter Internal Medicine and practice with Robert Lodato, M.D. starting Aug. 15. Currie, a Bangor native, graduated from the University of Maine with a B.S. in Kinesiology in 2000. She completed additional course work in nursing at the University of Montana prior to enrolling in the PA program at UNE. Karen Godin, PA-C will start on Aug. 8 at Corinna Family Practice, where she will work with Raymond Fluke, M.D. A resident of Levant, Godin graduated in 2001 with a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies from the University of New England. She has worked as a physician assistant since then, providing primary care at the Penobscot Community Health Center in Bangor, Hampden Family Medicine and the Orono Medical Center. Prior to obtaining her physician assistant certification, Godin worked as a radiographer. She has an associate's degree in medical radiography from Eastern Maine Technical College. Godin will replace Lisa Bartley, FNP at Corinna. Bartley will be returning to practice at Guilford Medical Associates, where she worked from 1995-2002. |
