FLU SHOTS:
Please note every year the CDC advises on the type of Flu virus that is expected to go round and recommends appropriate type of flu vaccine for that year. People at higher risk are aged over 65, people with diabetes, heart disease, Chronic Bronchitis/COPD/ Emphysema, nursing home & boarding home residents and workers, Health care workers. CDC also recommends Flu shots to Pregnant women who are in their last three months of pregnancy and children with cystic fibrosis and other chest In problems. PNEUMOVAX:
This vaccine is recommended to people who have diabetes, heart disease, cystic fibrosis, asthma, chronic lung disease, people who live and work in crowded environment (Care homes etc).

HEPATITIS B:
This is proven to be a sexually transmitted risk apart from contaminated needle injury. This is now included in primary vaccinations for the newborn and infants. All young people around puberty are recommonded to have the vaccination apart from health care providers and other high risk groups if they have not had the vaccine already.

TETANUS VACCINE:
To prevent lock jaw which is a life threatening condition. The bug is normally in contaminated soil and is recommended to all and advised to have a booster dose every 10 years.

TRAVEL VACCINES & MEDlCINES:
Based on your tour geographical locations, you need appropriate vaccines,medications and advice. This is an area where public health authorities provide updated information to the health providers. Please call in advance, especially if you plan your trip to an exotic location.
